Marks of a Life that Points to Christ
Our lives, what we say, & what we do should point others to Jesus Christ. If this is not true of us as a Christian, then we are failing.
Here are 3 Marks of a life that points to Christ from Ephesians 5:1-17
- The Mark of Love (vs 1&2)
- The love of Christ is a choice
- The standard of love is to love as Christ loves
- The sacrifice of love exceeds our comfort level
- The savour of love is sweet to God
- The Mark of Holiness (vs 3-13)
- As children of light, sin should and will bother us
- We are to put away all sin
- Guard yourself against sin
- The Mark of Prudence (vs 14-17)
- Walk circumspectly (carefully, perceptively, discerningly) because there is much that can hurt us & our reflection of Christ to others
- Redeem the time (buy up, ransom) - Christ redeemed us, so we redeem our time
Walk in Love - Walk in Holiness - Walk in Prudence
