Our Pastor

Hello. Let me take a moment to introduce myself and my family. I was saved as a child while growing up in the western part of the state of Maine. When I was 18 years old I surrendered my life to the Lord.

After graduating from Bob Jones University in 1990, my wife and I married in October of the same year. The Lord called me to South Gardiner Baptist Church as the youth pastor from 1990 to 1997.

In October, 1997, the Lord led us to move to Newfoundland, Canada, under Gospel Fellowship Association where we served as church planters for almost 11 years. In June 2008, the Lord directed me to leave Newfoundland and come back to Maine to assume the senior pastor position at South Gardiner Baptist Church

My wife, Marji, and I have been blessed with four children: Jessica, Zachary, Jacob, and Katelyn. We truly count it a privilege to be entrusted with such an awesome responsibility to guide our children in the way of the Lord. Our prayer for our children is that, like arrows shot at a target, they would hit the mark of God’s choosing for their life.

I anticipate God marvelously working through the ministry of South Gardiner Baptist Church. It’s exciting to see the potential as we preach the gospel of Christ. My prayer for this Church is that we would stand firm on the Word of God and be obedient to Christ’s final command to take the gospel to the world.
